Victorian Sapphire & Diamond Halo Ring

Circa 1890. This fabulous Victorian-era sterling silver-topped 18KT gold ring features a .57-carat cushion mixed-cut, unheated sapphire, set in a multi-pronged gold head. Surrounding the sapphire in a halo and extending partially down the shoulders are 19 old European/single/brilliant-cut diamonds, each prong-set into the sterling silver-topped design. The accent diamonds weigh 2.07 carats in total, with SI1-SI2 clarity and I-J color. The ring is approximately a size 7.5.
