The Story

Circa 1880. This fabulous French Victorian pendant locket features a carved onyx plaque featuring a gorgeous emerald-cut natural deep purple amethyst weighing 4.41 carats, set in 18KT gold. Accenting the amethyst are 27 bead/bezel-set rose-cut natural diamonds set in sterling silver. The top of the pendant features scroll details in 18KT gold, accented with one post-set natural pearl (measuring 5.5mm) and eight bead-set, rose-cut natural diamonds. The bale is accented with black onyx inlay and three bead-set, rose-cut natural diamonds. The accent diamonds weigh .60 carats in total, with SI2-I1 clarity and I-J color. The back of the pendant features an oval-shaped keepsake compartment. The bale is stamped with French hallmarks.
