Vega Maddux Amethyst & Citrine Necklace

Circa 1960. This fabulous silver and brass Vega Maddux pendant necklace features the whimsical juxtaposition of citrine and amethyst. The pendant features bezel-set citrines, amethysts, and a central piece of very light green carved jade. The necklace measures 28 inches in length, excluding the four-inch pendant drop. Vega was an amazing artist - a magical colorist whose quality handwork was beyond compare. Her pieces are a testament to her talented craftsmanship and are becoming harder and harder to find.
