Victorian Etruscan Revival Amethyst Locket & Earrings Set

Circa 1880. This fabulous Victorian-era Etruscan Revival set features a 14KT gold locket and matching earrings. The locket is suspended from a fancy 14KT gold chain measuring 26 inches in length. It is decorated with ornate granulation details and is accented with one prong-set round mixed-cut natural amethyst. The amethyst features a carved intaglio with an inlaid floral design accented with rose-cut diamonds. The back of the locket features an oval compartment for keepsakes. The 14KT matching earrings are finished with 10KT yellow gold screw-style backs. Each earring features a carved amethyst intaglio with an inlaid floral design accented with rose-cut diamonds. The amethysts weigh 40.60 carats in total.
